Let Us Unite 2025

On May 27th, UniteSA is hosting a worship event at the historic San Pedro Springs Park, not only to commemorate the momentous baptism that took place there on May 25, 1925, but also to unite believers in Christ for a greater purpose. UniteSA believes that San Antonio is moving into a new season, and that God has given the body of Christ fresh innovation and ingenuity so that San Antonio Christians, despite their differences, can form a united community around Christ. God is trying to do a new thing, in and through us.

A Momentous Baptism in 1925

On May 25, 1925, masses of people gathered at San Pedro Springs Park to be baptized. Renowned photographer Eugene O. Goldbeck recorded the event with an image that visually showed the results of San Antonio's First Baptist Church revival that had occurred a year earlier. This remarkable occasion etched the park's name in the annals of San Antonio's spiritual heritage, serving as a testament to the city's deep-rooted commitment to faith and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

A Call to Unite and Heal Around Christ Alone

In a world grappling with the wars in Israel and Ukraine, as well as widespread unrest among nations, the upcoming worship event is not only a chance to commemorate the 1925 baptism but also an opportunity to unite San Antonio's Christian community around Christ. By attending, we can collectively seek God's guidance, blessings, and healing for our families, city, nation, and world. San Antonians are being called upon to pray that the Alamo City's leaders and citizens will be guided by Christ's character to uphold Biblical values in the face of global turmoil. Together, we can strive to have a Christ-modeled perspective infused into how our homes and city operate.
